20 Lakes Basin loop (Oct 2021)

I was invited to join Dave on a hike he planned for kids and parents of his bay area neighborhood. I arrived early to reserve a campsite near Tioga road for all of us and did an afternoon hike on Tioga Peak. Once the entire group was assembled, we started the next morning at Saddlebag Lake and hiked to Cascade Lake to camp. The kids had a good time on day one and in camp. On day 2 when we closed a loop via Helen Lake and Lundy Pass some were less happy and the adults had to carry a bit of extra weight in their backpacks. Ich wurde eingeladen, Dave auf einer Wanderung zu begleiten die er für Kinder und Eltern seiner Bay Area Nachbarschaft geplant hatte. Ich kam früh an, um für uns alle einen Campingplatz in der Nähe der Tioga Road zu reservieren, und machte eine Nachmittagswanderung auf Tioga Peak. Nachdem die gesamte Gruppe versammelt war, starteten wir am nächsten Morgen am Saddlebag Lake und wanderten zu Cascade Lake, um dort zu campen. Die Kinder hatten am ersten Tag und im Camp viel Spaß. Am zweiten Tag, als wir unsere Runde über Helen Lake und Lundy Pass schlossen, waren einige weniger glücklich und die Erwachsenen mussten etwas zusätzliches Gewicht in ihren Rucksäcken tragen.
