Mt Tyndall (July 2018)

When Paul and I started hiking on Friday evening, the entire area was covered in smoke from wildfires, but we decided to proceed anyway. We spent the night on Symmes saddle and continued to Shepherd Pass the next day. When we reached the Pass, I spent my afternoon laying around and resting in camp while Paul continued right away to the summit of Mt Tyndall. When he came back to camp he was quite spent. I climbed to the summit the next morning and then we hiked back out together. Als Paul und ich am Freitagabend mit der Wanderung begannen, war die gesamte Gegend in Rauch von Waldbränden gehüllt, aber wir beschlossen, trotzdem weiterzumachen. Wir verbrachten die Nacht auf Symmes-Sattel und stiegen am nächsten Tag weiter zum Shepherd Pass. Als wir den Pass erreichten, verbrachte ich meinen Nachmittag damit, im Lager herumzuliegen und zu rasten, während Paul direkt weiter zum Gipfel des Mt. Tyndall aufstieg. Als er ins Lager zurückkam, war er ziemlich erschöpft. Am nächsten Morgen stieg ich auf den Gipfel und dann wanderten wir gemeinsam wieder hinab.
