Day 14 - 16: The hike to camp 1 is easy and relaxed. We have an evening in camp with beautiful play of light and clouds. We feel good on our way to camp 2 and arrive feeling strong. Overnight it starts snowing again and the weather forecast is for worsening conditions. After much deliberation we decide to burn our contingency days and wait for better weather in basecamp. It is again very difficult and risky to find the way down through the field of crevasses. We can barely even find camp 1 while we are only a few meters from it. We reach a very wet and cold basecamp.
