Days 10 - 13: The third time our hike to Camp 1 feels easy and it is amazing to realize how much more acclimated we are. We enjoy a nice afternoon in camp. This time to camp 2, roles reverse. Sepp is not feeling well, while I am doing fine. When we reach our tent we take it down and move it a bit higher to 20,200ft where we know a larger and flatter camp is established. In camp we spend the afternoon with melting snow and recovering. While Sepp is recovering well, the weather is worsening with gusty winds and snowfall. In the morning the camp is snowed in and snowfall continues with very poor visibility. We are not able to ascend any further and decide to descend. We carefully work ourselves from marker flag to flag to try to stay close to the intended track through the large crevasse field. Once back in basecamp we add a rest day while the weather slowly stabilizes.
