72 offshore windmills is build 10 kilometers south of Nysted, producing electricity at the level of 140.000 households yearly consumption (166 MW). The windmills is build on a concrete platform rested at the sea bottom. The mill wings are 41 meters long, and the mill turbine raises 69 meters above sealevel. One of my friends, working with maintenance of the windmill plant, arranged an exclusive guided tour, and you can probably perceive from the pictures, that we enjoyed standing on top of the turbine in open space.
