| The Willow warbler L 11-12,5cm (4.3-4.9") breeds where there is trees or high bushes. The nest is build in thick ground cover. The Willow Warbler is a small and elegant bird with slim legs and bill. It has a white to yellow-white eyebrow, a greenish back with varying brown or grey tones. The throat and breast is yellow-white, and the abdomen is whitish. The legs are normally light-brown. The wings are pretty uniform without wing bars. On a sitting bird the primaries length from where the secondaries end is the same as the secondaries length, while the same measure for the Chiffchaff is only 50% of the secondaries length. The Chiffchaff's legs are dark-brown-grey. |
