The Lesser Whitethroat L 11,5-13,5cm (4.5-5.3") breeds in open woodland with bushes and cloughs, in gardens with hedges and berry bushes, at graveyards, in needle woodland. Nesting in dense bushes. The Lesser Whitethroat is a small but robust and pretty short tailed warbler. The back and wings are tan brown with a grey tail. The bill is short and dark with a lighter grey blue basis. The ear is darker grey than the head. The legs is dark grey and the underside is light beige and the throat is white. It has a half thin white eye-ring underneath, and some birds have a weak light grey eyebrow. |
