The Dunnock L 13-14,5cm (5.1-5.7") breeds in woodland, preferably evergreen needleleaf plantation, but also in parks and gardens. The food is dominantly insects. The Dunnock is pretty shy. Nesting in dense shrubbery and low in needleleaf trees. At the size of a Robin and with a warbler like bill. The back has dark brown and brown stripes, a lead grey head and breast, chin and forehead is grey brown, the legs are tawny brown, the tail dark brown. |
