We didn't see any bears, but these guys were NUTS! (Pun intended). They chewed through a backpack (a cheap one, fortunately) and a drybag (not so cheap) to get at food, even when things were hanging! Completely fearless - we couldn't leave food unattended without them getting at it. The bear rope HELPED - it took to the last day before they got anything when it was up there, but we could never let our guard down while cooking or eating.
