These photos were taken in the afternoon on July 26, 2005. These first fall, immature Spoonbills were found on the morning of July 25 by the manager of the Reelfoot NWR. This wet area produces good birds almost every year and the farmer keeps trying to get a crop of corn or soybeans but this one area persists in producing birds instead of crops. Located just north of Fish Gap Road on Highway 157 on the northeast side of Reelfoot Lake, a few miles north of the refuge headquarters.
