LeConte's Sparrow

The masses of almost paper white foliage provide cover for LeConte's and if you pull back the grass there are huge numbers of the tiny hard seeds strewn on the ground. Because LeConte's feed below in these passageways, they are usually the last sparrow to flush and then right at your feet. Their color and weak, short flights are great ID points.
