In less than an hour, the two were out picking and feeding in the heat waves. I did not stay long enough to see if the others hatched but Mom was still going back and forth. This is the latest first hatch in 15 years. We had over 20 nests early on but now finally some youngsters with only 8 nests still active. The drought allowed access by predators to the nests but quite a few were just abandoned?
