The Golden-crowned Sparrow is one of our larger sparrows, note how slim the White-throated Sparrow looks when the two are close. Note how closely the plumage resembles a White-crowned Sparrow. Makes you want to look at White-crowned Sparrows a little closer. We once had a hybrid of this sparrow in North Mississippi.
