This was one of the last shots taken on 2-20-05, the day had been very overcast and the high wind was straight into our faces, so the birds were mostly facing away. This is the very lightest of all of the 5 Iceland Gulls seen together off Van Works Road. Note bird has pure white preimaries with no tan edging and very pale tan markings on the mantle feather edges and a relatively plain tail.
