I found this bird at the Hatchie NWR in Haywood Co. TN on 2-22-04. The bird had staked out a large territory and I was first made aware of it because it was singing in flight. It is a different bird from the previous Vermilion on this page as it had not molted in some red breast feathers that the Reelfoot bird had. These birds were found at refuges on lakes but 65-70 miles apart.
