This juvenile Mississippi Kite was found in a Germantown back yard. It was dehydrated and had almost starved to death, with no fat and little breast tissue left. Now in the hands of a rehabber it is feeding and doing great. It will be transported in a month or so south in order to catch up with its migrating cousins. The bird was successfully released on the gulf coast.
