Just 369 days after finding the young from the 2nd nesting Black-bellied Whistling Ducks in TN; the 3rd group of downy young appeared at the same location in Ensley Bottoms. I had been playing hide and seek with this pair in the high weeds for 2 weeks, always staying away from the suspected nest area and sitting for hours letting the birds get use to my truck. It paid off at noon today. Now what about the other paired Black-bellieds I've been watching?
