Golden Eagles are not too numerous here in the delta along the Mississippi River but they can be found by looking at distant birds and keeping in mind a few ID hints. Recently I heard a story from a participant on one of the Reelfoot Eagle tours. It seems that they asked the guide if there were any Golden Eagles around. The guide told everyone no, but that there had been a recent report but he did not believe it. The thing is, there are a few or at least one Golden Eagle seen around Reelfoot every year but people just don't know what to look for in these birds.
