We were slower out of the gate than we intended to be due to some lengthy car repairs. Thunderstorms were already occurring in the Texas panhandle and showed signs of getting organized in western Oklahoma. Thinking that this was only going to be a travel day, we enjoyed what storms we came across and took the time to shoot a couple of pictures. I didn't want the first day out to end as close as the Texas panhandle, so we rolled into San Jon, NM for the night.
