Ballet Folklorico dancers are an inspiration, I really admire them. I love the brightly colored costumes and the traditional music they dance to. I greatly admire them for continuing and sharing the beautiful Mexican culture. Most of these paintings are inspired by photographs I have taken of performers, some just drawn from imagination. Most have been done on wood, the outlines have been burned in with a woodburning pen. A couple are painted on canvas board with acrylic paint.Come visit my online store on CafePress!
