Black Velvet Paintings are not what they use to be, thank God!

This summer I painted my first Black Velvet painting which was for show that was held
in July 2006. Every year the ICBC (Instituto Cultural de Baja California)Tijuana, Mexico
holds an international show on black velvet paintings. Thirty-three artist from both Mexico
and California show their work together. I wish I had taken more photos but my camera setting
were off some pics didn't come out clear.

I got my dates mixed up and I missed openning night, what a disappointment. Luckily, I stayed
in Rosarito the whole weekend, so on Monday morning on our way home we stopped at ICBC. I hope
you enjoy viewing them as much as I did. Wish I could of add the names and tiles of the pieces, but I don't have them.

Hopefully, someone here Los Angeles will be inspired to sponsor a Velvet Show.
