Very lucky. I went through the same thing with Hurricane Andrew back in 1992. Luckily I had no damage to my home, but I had no electricity for 10 very long days and very hot nights. Not to mention lots of cold showers. :)

Nice pics. Glad you had fun. I'm in North NJ across Hudson from NYC. Husband now in FL helping our neighbors for 20 yrs who moved to FL East Coast this summer on retirement plan. He called to say it was as bad as portrayed on TV. No electricity, AC, plain ice, plumbing, etc. He Emails us from his room at Holiday Inn.
