Some of the images were taken using a reflection in a broken mirror. I have also sub-titled the gallery 'Reflections of Us'. The broken mirror represents many things one can and must reflect on when thinking about this war.

One must reflect on the moral cost of war. The lives of our brave men and women are being spent. The lives of Iraqi men, women, and children are being spent.

One must reflect on the moral strength of those of us who kept silent or those of us who blindly followed the drum beat of war.

One can reflect on the unquestioned mis-truths about the non-existent Iraqi Chemical and Nuclear WMD.

One can reflect on the unquestioned mis-truths that led our Congress to pass the Tonkin Gulf Resolution which was used as sufficient authorization for escalation of that war.

One can also reflect on the strange unquestionable belief that democracy can be imposed at the end of a gun.

One thing I reflect on is Nixon's infamous campaign slogan, "Peace with Honor". From the first time he uttered those words in 1967, until we left Vietnam via helicopter from rooftops we lost 20 thousand plus American lives and several hundred thousands of southeast Asians from several countries.

Please relect on the additional number of American and Iraqi lives that will be cut short due to the current phase of 'Complete the Mission'.

Please reflect on this and all other past wars as you review "Eyes Wide Open - (Reflections of Us)".

Please pray for moral strength and courage to end this tragic war.

Note that almost 2,000 American lives were taken after he made his deal with the enemy.

This current group in office is no better and 40 years from now we will hear about all the Iraq lies.
