Omg I have searched everywhere on how to do my brakes, couldn't find anything that was remotely close to what I have. This step by step instructions with color pictures, saved me from setting my truck on fire. I am so thankful you took the time to do this, it makes me want to cry. You turned this into such an easy job when I was about to give up. Thank you so very much for the time and detail you put into this!

My rear wheel brakes have locking up after Five miles. my stop lights come on and won't go off for about five minutes. So I am going to strip my brakes down and follow your instruction and hope I win this time. Thank you for your time and instruction.

I am restoring a '65 Corvair. GM tech mania was of little use. This made the brake repair a cinch. Thanks!

Thanks for ending my 12 hour three trip to the store five hours on the internet old truck restoration project. I have a rescue truck that was missing most of the brake parts so the pictures and colors saved me. Old parts, even from the store don't come with proper instructions. The stores are tough to navigate also, I had to make link springs for this. I know, should have gone with a disk kit.

Thank you so much. The pictures were a tremendous help. I had to correct a rear brake mess left by the previous owner of my truck. Obviously, he did not discover your post on the truck forum. He probably can't read anyway.

Awesome, huge thanks, just bought an old chevy truck for "fun" and discovered none of the drums had ANY adjuster-parts or springs whatsoever, just star-wheels, had no idea how things should look. Great assembly guide!
MJ 25-Dec-2013 11:46
Thanks so much. I'm replacing the entire rear end on my Chevy truck and purchased all new brake parts, but unfortunately all I got was several bags of parts and not a single diagram or instruction. After searching several days and even looking at some videos on youtube ... this is BY FAR the best guide I've come across! THANK YOU, THANK YOU!!!!
Guest 10-Nov-2013 02:39
