My experience has me utilize a much faster shutter speed at 300mm in
most situations, Allan, unless I screw up. The ruddy turnstone is one of
the most colorful birds I've photographed while it's in breeding plumage.
It's hard to pick a favorite species of the relatively few bird types I've seen.
