Radiant Lighting At Arches National Park

Arches National Park, Utah

Even with the mixed lighting and partly overcast skies the rock formation in the foreground seemed to glow like a beacon as the sun painted it with light. I was amazed at how the geological rock formations in the park seemed like creatures from an alien planet. Such an amazing place to visit especially if you can avoid the crowds.

Beautiful rock formation in flattering light and superb resolution.
Feel like I can walk into the scene and explore.
With that light it would make an nice oil on canvas.

You are definitely right; it's very cool how the one spire is lit up so perfectly and stands out against the background rocks. I definitely have to get back there. Haven't been to Arches/Canyonlands since 2.12 Monument Valley since 2014. ~BV~

Arches National Park is one of my top 3 favourites. I'm glad I was there twice, though each time was only a few hours. You have so many stunning captures of all kinds of rock formations there, really amazing. ~VVV~
