Rodanthe is a small town on Hatteras Island which is part of North Carolina's Outer Banks. This is the entrance to the the town as you are driving south towards the town of Hatteras. Rodanthe was also the location for the house used in the 2008 movie " Nights In Rodanthe" with Diane Lane and Richard Gere. The house in the movie was moved after the movie was made due to deteriorating beach conditions but the house located at one time in this turn of the road on the ocean side.
