First Snow-2022

Blacksburg, Virginia

Old trees and brush piles can make wonderful subjects for paintings especially when covered with snow. This scene is located on a hill that overlooks where I live. While posting this image, we are enjoying a major snowstorm which is fairly rare for Virginia. When you are retied, you can enjoy snowstorms since you don"t have to go anywhere. This painting is available for sale on request.

Well the snow surely seems to be your element and from the sound of it there is more now to photograph and paint.

Beautiful Dave. There's nothing like watching a good snowstorm from inside your house. We are expecting a storm starting tonight with some 400mm (16") forecast. Actually, going out after a snow storm, when the winds and temperatures have moderated, beats the viewing of it through your windows. Allows for some super photo-ops. .

A beautiful painting, and we're getting some of the same up here, although not nearly as much as the other week. V.
