Pleiades Occultation 4/1/2006

An occultation of the Pleiades Cluster by a 3 day 16 hr old moon. Probably a perfect phase for this event; it provided an hour and a half of shooting. This progression of images shows a pair of stars approaching the moon and then winking out. The final images show the last star in the "Dipper" formation coming out from behind the glare of the moon, and the moon setting behind a treeline.
