The Hummers are not kind to me this year; very camera shy, flash shy, and as usual just one Defender to shoot. Just for something different, I shot these with a Nikkor 105 AF-D Micro lens from a distance of about 28" to the film plane (22" to the lens). Ised a wireless remote and focused on the white feeding tube. I angled the camera so that, hopefully, if he backed up and hovered he would still be in focus. That part hasn't worked out but then again that feeder is not the best for hover shots. I included a photo of the setup.
