These images compare my 2004 vintage Markins M10 head to a very recent production 2008 model. The newer models have better damping on the horizontal pan base and also appear to perform a tad better, at least based on this one and only test I performed. The only conclusion I would draw here is that a new Markins head should be just as good, if not better, than any Markins head made in the past.
