I believe this is a female Blue Grosbeak, based on the lack of fine streaks on the breast. Interestingly, I shot a great image of a female Indigo Bunting within 50 feet of this bird just a few days prior and I want to re-find that female for another go at it.
This is the bird that was first found hiding in a hole in a tangle. She then came out and perched here for a full minute or so. I shot 42 images. A setup like this, with nesting material hanging from the beak, does not come along every day.
