Conjunction of Venus and Jupiter Nov 5, 2004

On the morning of November 5th, 2004 Venus and Jupiter passed within 38 minutes of arc of each other. These images were captured from Ocean City, MD. The two planets were just slightly farther apart than the apparent diameter of the moon.

On the mornings of Nov 9 and 10, the moon, Jupiter, Venus and Mars formed a compact grouping. On the 9th, the moon is just above Jpuiter and Venus, on the 10th just below.
