The Ocean City beaches are renourished every 4 years or so. This is an interesting construction project and one we don't see every year. Although main work areas are cordoned off,
the work spans such a large area of the beach that I had a chance to shoot heavy construction in progress, at times from very close quarters. It is very interesting to have huge
construction equipment rumbling by with tires almost as tall as I am.
Unnerving at times, too!
The arial views were shot from my 15th floor balcony.
For many images, the light was not ideal and I don't normally bother shooting into the light, but I wanted to cover this subject matter and there was no way to shoot from the other side of the beach. Some of the later images were shot in much better light.
