Disaster for one, joy for another. The scene is Yellowstone National Park. Usually when an animal perishes too close to a roadway
and therefore a possible hazard to the public, the park service removes the dead animal to a remote and safer location.
Thankfully, they let animal nature take its course. A rather large (aren't they all) grizzly dragged this deer (actually road-kill) a little up the opposite hill and buried it.
For whatever reason he left the area and allowed the birds to feast. No other animal approached the area.
