It's fun to shoot the same subject with different focal lengths. With my telephoto gear I can get in pretty tight on the surfer, which can produce a dramatic effect. But sometimes I like to pull way back and put the surfer at small scale in his environment. This works well, especially at sunset when the colors of the sky and water add a wonderful context to the scene. But most importantly, I usually have Rocky with me at sunset, and the small Fuji X-T5 with a 50mm lens attached gives me a light, yet powerful system that I can manage while attached to a two-year old mini labradoodle. :-)
