Snowy Egrets are one of my favorite wildlife subjects and I've photographed them A Lot. But the light that they are in can help to give each shot a unique appearance. This image was captured in the late afternoon shadows of the lagoon and that boosted the contrast between the brilliantly white bird and the dark water. It also gave the ripples a wonderful silvery shine. Using light creatively is one of the super fun things about shooting.
