The waters of California's San Elijo Lagoon are affected by tidal flow, and at low tide shallow areas appear where grasses protrude through the water and combined with their reflections create a zen-like appearance to the scene. While I generally like to photograph wildlife with uncluttered background, I felt this scene of a snowy egret walking slowly through the shallows added to the peaceful nature of the frame.
