Conditions yesterday were poor- fog and 1-2 foot waves, but still he was heading out. I don't surf, but I've photographed a lot of surfers, and through my lens I've seen the pull that the soothing power of the ocean has for them. So many head out no matter the conditions: to be there, to get wet, and to try to catch a ride.
