Masks

My wife, Kathleen, likes to sew and has made some fun play clothes for our 3-year old grandson. But now she is making masks. We have a couple of particle masks left over from home improvement projects that we are using now for essential trips to the grocery store, but I think we will be in this for a while and the new homemade ones will be washable.

An image of our times. This image speaks of caring, thoughtfulness and generosity. Although a beautifully captured image, it is the message that speaks to me. VVV

A superb capture ! V.
Same for us : my wife made four, washable ! Essential to go to the supermarket while respecting social distancing and using a hydro-alcoholic solution.

Good for her! I wish my sewing machine weren't so ancient. I'd like to be making some as well. I think we will be wearing them even as we go back to work. Yesterday, the 99cent store was turning away anyone not wearing a mask! I've been wearing one since March.

superb how the light illuminates the working hands at a telling moment...cool how darkness radiates out too, rather reminiscent of Rembrandt..

What a fine capture, and good for her for making masks. If I knew how to sew or even if I had some suitable fabric, I'd try it as well.

When all of this first started we were told that masks where useless against coved-19. Now they are urging the public to wear them outside of the house especially when coming into contact with other people. It’s good that your wife is making them as they are in very short supply. I also read today that social distancing is now 13 feet instead of 2 meters! V
