My absolute favorite time to shoot surfing action is at sunset- the colors are incredible and it is the time when art and action come together. But conditions are rare for opportunities to do it. The sky must be clear to the horizon (no marine layer coming in), the surf has to be up to the point to be able to catch the light, and the talented surfers need to show up; a trifecta of conditions that seldom occurs. Until this weekend. So I spent a bunch of time cashing in on the opportunity and will show you the resulting shots this week in a Sunset Surfing series.
