A close-up of a Mexican Sunflower taken while on a walk through the San Diego Botanic Garden. I really like to photograph these flowers since they are one of the few that bloom in winter and they look great both as fresh blossoms and also when withered. They also attract Monarch butterflies and it is a special treat to photograph one on these flowers, but unfortunately I haven't seen many Monarchs around lately.
