I try to keep politics out of my art, but sometimes, well I just can’t. You see there are strong anti-immigration sentiments swirling today in America. Not just against illegal immigration, but also some forms of legal immigration. Curious really since nearly all of us are descended from immigrants. Capturing scenes like this reminds me that many immigrants arrive willing to do jobs the rest of us won’t take. They do this to gain a foothold in this country and for the hope of a better life for future generations. Just like many of our ancestors did.
