Surfing Seaside

Surfer Nick Suhadolnik shreds his way through a wave at Seaside, Cardiff State Beach, CA. As a sports/action photographer I'm always looking for that little something special in a shot. In this case I loved Nick's intensity in attacking the surf- his hair flying and that intense concentration on the run. I used black and white for the presentation to have Nick appear to be emerging from the surf without a distraction of color.
