Vintage Car Racing, Summit Point, W.Va. - 2006, Canon S2

I shot the photos of vintage race cars in this gallery with a handheld Canon PowerShot S2 IS during the 2006 Jefferson 500 weekend at Summit Point Raceway in West Virginia. The camera's 12x optical zoom and the panning mode of its optical image stabilizer worked very well. All the images here were taken on May 21, 2006. Prefocusing, anticipation and panning got the job done. ... I downsized the photos for online viewing.
