Simeone Automotive Museum -- "Best of Britain," March 2011

The Simeone Automotive Museum in Philadelphia opened its second "Best of Britain" exhibit on Feb. 19, 2011. The Jaguar XK-E was the focus of this year's show in recognition of its 50th anniversary. Seven distinct versions of this iconic sports car from the 1960s and 1970s were displayed, along with a 1953 XK120 and a 1992 XJS-R. Twenty other British sports cars were also included in the show, which closed on March 13. All the cars belong to individual collectors, not the museum. I took all the photos in this gallery with a handheld Nikon D300 and a Nikkor 18-200mm VR zoom. All are straight-from-the-camera images, with no post-processing -- except for two, which I made slightly brighter (marked BR in their captions). All the photos have been resized for online viewing.
