Pebble Beach 2008 -- Classic Ferraris and Other Exotics ... Nikon D300
After leaving the 2008 Pebble Beach Concours d'Elegance, I photographed three of the Blackhawk Collection's most desirable Ferraris, which were on display nearby and being offered for sale for about $1 million and up each. Most of the people had already left by then. I also took pictures of a classic Aston Martin and a vintage Maybach. And on my way to dinner, I couldn't resist taking a few shots of a 1990s Ferrari and a late-model Aston Martin on the streets of Carmel, which were filled with concours-goers' Astons, Ferraris, Lamborghinis, Bentleys, Porsches and other fine automobiles.
I shot the photos in this gallery with a handheld Nikon D300 and an 18-200mm Nikkor VR zoom lens. All the images are as is, straight from the camera, with no post-processing applied -- except for the three pictures of a Delahaye, which I tweaked (PP). I did resize all the photos for online viewing.
