PCA-CHS Chesapeake Challenge 51 Concours (Complete Gallery) -- Oct. 3, 2020

From March through September 2020, PCA Chesapeake suspended all club activities because of the COVID-19 pandemic. In September, the club's leadership decided to start resuming official activities by early October. In response, the Concours Committee held its only event of the year on Oct. 3rd. The Concours was one of the three major components of the region's 51st Chesapeake Challenge.

As a result of the constraints arising from the pandemic, this year’s turnout was less than the usual 40 to 50 Porsches. A total of 22 cars were entered in various classes.

This year’s Concours was unlike any PCA's Chesapeake Region had done before. Face masks, social distancing and "touchless" practices were required. There were no spectators and no grassy show field where the cars could be gathered and displayed. Instead, the cars were brought into the drive-through judging lanes by appointment. Contestants were encouraged to leave after their cars had been judged.

Honorary Judge Jim Earlbeck hosted the event at his place of business, Earlbeck Gases & Technologies in Rosedale, MD.
