"When the lest TR6 was built in 1976, it signaled the end of a continuous development that had started with the TR2 of 1954. For this final TR iteration, Karmann of Germany was tapped to update the TR4 shell while retaining the inner body, doors and windshield frame. Underneath the handsome new look was a chassis and engine little changed from the TR250.
