J. Paul Getty Museum, Los Angeles -- August 2008 ... Nikon D300

I visited the J. Paul Getty Museum's Getty Center in L.A. on Aug. 20, 2008. My visit's focus was on a major showing of Gian Lorenzo Bernini's works (Aug. 5 - Oct. 26, 2008). Unfortunately, photography was not allowed in this visiting exhibit, which included many pieces lent by private collectors and other museums around the world. This show impressed me more than all of my previous (admittedly cursory) exposure to Bernini's works during seven visits to Italy. This gallery features the few random photos that I took before and after viewing the Bernini exhibit. All the images are as is, straight from my Nikon D300, with no post-processing applied -- except for one photo that I cropped slightly to remove a tourist who had strayed into the left edge of the frame (marked CR in its caption). As usual, I resized the pictures for online viewing.
